Making a Change
This post brought to you by Aviva Community Fund. All opinions are 100% mine.
If you saw my earlier post about Aviva Community Fund, I just wanted to let you know that voting is now up and running. This is a great chance to support something local and make a difference that you can be proud of, and see the results of for years to come.
While checking out the Aviva site, I noticed that here in Calgary there are two ideas that were inspiring. One is a Teens Community Kitchen which would provide meals and nutritional guidance to the community as well as training and job skills for the local youth. Another idea from another Calgarian is an organization that helps disabled youth and their families transition into adulthood. There are so many options to choose to vote for and to help with, plus you can sumbit your own ideas to see in your own Canadian city.
How can you get your ideas out there and seen by the world? You can enter by submitting an idea on the site and have your friends and neighbors vote. Submitting is open on October 1, 2012 and the more people that you get to vote, the better your chances are of winning. You can use all of your social media contacts, Like Aviva Community Fund on facebook, and Follow @Aviva on twitter
